Commute by train

What employers can do to support commuting by train:

• Help employees plan commute by using the Trip Planner
• Offer employees some flexibility in start and quit times
• Help employees make the connection between the rail station and work (or home) by providing a VanShare.
• Allow employees to use pre-tax income to purchase transit passes
• Provide full or partial subsidy for cost of monthly or annual transit pass
• Provide a guaranteed ride home in case of emergency
• When there is a charge for parking, allow employees to drive and park for free one or two days each month for personal appointments
• Provide on-site amenities such as lunch facilities and postal services
