A Green Team is a group that takes on a project to prevent waste at school, at home or in the community. Funding and other assistance are available to complete these projects.

Are you willing to take on projects to help the environment become a cleaner, greener place?

If so, register to become a King County Green Team and take action to reduce waste.

• Get details about forming a team in the Green Team brochure (PDF, 355 K) or contact a Green Team specialist at Triangle Associates at 206-583-0655 or greenteam@triangleassociates.com to get a Green Team welcome packet.
• Fund your project with a Green Team mini-grant (PDF, 534 K).
• Download a Green Team Pledge Poster (PDF, 61 K) and Membership Cards (PDF, 126 K).

Earn recognition for your actions.

• Complete one new classroom activity to reduce waste, improve recycling or protect habitat, and receive a certificate of achievement.
• Complete one new school-wide activity or two new classroom/grade-level activities and receive a certificate of achievement, plus prizes such as water bottles or pens made from recycled plastic.
• See your school and project listed on the Green Team Projects page.

These programs and services are available to schools in King County (schools within the Seattle city limits are eligible only for the Household Hazardous Waste program) and are provided at no charge to the recipient.
