About the Out-of-School Youth Consortium
The Out-of School Youth Consortium is a collaborative partnership of organizations committed to helping young people who have dropped out of school get re-engaged with education. It also aims to prepare these youth to enter the job market on a career pathway.
Each partner brings resources to their services. King County's Work Training Program leads the Workforce Investment Act funding.
Partners include local Community and Technical Colleges and community-based agencies. Through the Consortium, ten learning center sites are available for young people to receive Consortium services. The Consortium model builds on the unique strengths, service delivery strategies, and target communities of each partner agency.
The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County helps to fund the Consortium.
