Dislocated Worker Program The Dislocated Worker Program is a federally-funded program in collaboration with the Workforce Development Council that helps people who have lost their jobs through company downsizing or plant closures find employment. It also helps businesses find productive workers.
Services for Dislocated Workers Services provided to eligible persons can include: - Basic skills resources for English as a Second Language (ESL) or a GED
- Career counseling
- Case management and an individualized employment/training plan
- Coordination with your current employer to identify and pay for training that will increase your ability to obtain a better job within the organization
- Follow up after employment to support career and wage progression
- Individualized job placement assistance
- Job readiness training
- Scholarships to pay for training in eligible programs at approved schools
- Career counseling.
