Notice of Grant Application and Availability of Review Draft for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Job Training GrantMar. 30, 2009 Notice is hereby given that on April 20, 2009, the King County Department of Community and Human Services will submit an application to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for $500,000 in Brownfields Job Training Grant funds through its Work Training Program. If awarded, the funds will be used to train King County residents for the handling and removal of hazardous substances, which includes training for sampling, analysis and site remediation. Funds will also be used for - training in the management of facilities at which hazardous substances, pollutants, contaminants or petroleum contamination are located
- training for response activities often associated with cleanups - landscaping, demolition, and groundwater extractions
- development/refinement of existing curriculum for the training described.
