Cities

The Housing and Community Development Program (HCD) participates in a "Consortium" with most of the cities outside Seattle to apply jointly for federal housing and community development funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HCD administers the federal funding programs on behalf of the King County Consortium.

The cities that participate in the King County Consortium are eligible to apply for funding for projects located in their jurisdiction, including public improvement projects, such as water and sewer projects that primarily serve very low to moderate-income residents.
