Does the King County Rental Repair/Rehabilitation Service provide loans in the City of Seattle?
No, if you are interested in a multi-family repair/rehabilitation loan and your property is located in the City if Seattle, please contact the Seattle Office of Housing for information about their rehabilitation services. Click here to go to our housing resources page.
 
Does King County offer free money to repair/rehabilitate multifamily housing projects?
No, the rental repair/rehabilitation service does not provide grants or free money; the service provides loans. However, the loan is at zero percent interest and has deferred payments, which means that the loan does not have to be paid back unless you violate the loan agreement, sell the property or refinance the property.
 
Can I borrow money to purchase a rental property and rehabilitate it?
No, rental repair/rehabilitation funds can only be used to rehabilitate a property that you already own. The funds cannot be used to acquire a new property.
