I’m homeless. Can you help me find housing? In King County there is a one-stop resource for services and housing called the “Community Information Line”. You can call the Community Information Line by calling 2-1-1 or click here to go to our homeless and housing resources sections to see a number of resource options. I’m behind in my rent and my landlord is threatening to evict me. What can I do? You can call the Community Information Line by dialing 2-1-1 and ask for eviction prevention assistance. The Community Information Line can give you a number of resources, including eviction prevention programs and free legal resources. You can also click here to go to our homeless and housing resources sections to see a number of resource options, including the Community Resources Online Web site operated by the Community Information Line. I own apartments that are affordable for low income people. How do I find good tenants for them? Where can I donate used furniture? The Sharehouse provides furniture and household goods to formerly homeless families. You can go to their website to find out what donations they accept and how to donate. You can also contact Community Resources On-Line to find other non-profit organizations in your area that accept used furniture donations. How do I get funding from King County for my program that serves homeless people? The King County Housing and Community Development Program administers a number of fund sources to which your program may be eligible to apply.
