Homeless Resources

If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness and looking for assistance:

  • Community resources, such as shelters, services, and emergency financial assistance, as well as crisis information can be found at http://www.resourcehouse.info/Win211/. You can also access their services by dialing 2-1-1.
  • Domestic violence services and shelters - In Seattle contact New Beginnings at www.newbegin.org or 206-522-9472; In East King County contact the Eastside Domestic Violence Program at www.edvp.org or 425-746-1940; In South King County contact the Domestic Abuse Women's Network (DAWN) at www.dawnonline.org or 425-622-1881.
  • "Ready to Rent" program is a program of the United Way of King County that provides tenant education program for homeless and low-income persons who want to improve their ability to access and maintain permanent rental housing; contact the program at 206-461-5083.

If you would like to volunteer to end homelessness:

  • Sharehouse takes donations of furniture, blankets and other household goods and distributes the goods to formerly homeless households; contact them at www.thesharehouse.org or call them at 206-767-5280.
