These are the most common questions that we receive through our HCD Program reception staff. Does the Housing and Community Development Program help a person find a place to live? We have a resource section on this web site to assist you in your search for affordable housing. Click here to go to the Housing Resources section. Do you help people buy a home with no downpayment? We do not provide any services directly to the public to help you buy a home, but we do contract with community agencies so that they can provide homebuyer education, counseling and down-payment assistance. Click here to go to the Home Ownership Resources page. Are you the same thing as the King County Housing Authority? No, we are a completely separate entity from the King County Housing Authority, consequently, we cannot answer any questions about King County Housing Authority programs, such as the section 8 voucher program and the public housing program.
