Homeless PartnersThe King County Housing and Community Development Program works with a number of partners in order to further our mission to end homelessness in the region. Funding PartnersCity of Seattle Human Services Department, Homeless Services - This department funds and operates programs and services that meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable people in the Seattle community. United Way of King County (UWKC) - United Way is committed to using all available resources and partners to create lasting changes to improve the community, from ending homelessness to giving every child a healthy chance. The UWKC brings together a diverse mix of resources and invests them strategically to meet the most critical needs of the community. Other Community Partners
Committee to End Homelessness (CEH) in King County - The CEH has created a leadership structure to facilitate coordination and collaboration among funders, government agencies, housing and service providers, homeless persons, advocates and community volunteers to help ensure a unified and targeted approach to ending homelessness in King County. Seattle/King County Coalition for the Homeless (SKCCH) - The SKCCH is a coalition of organizations and individuals working together to provide adequate and appropriate emergency response to break the cycle of homelessness. Washington State Coalition for the Homeless (WSCH) - This state organization provides training, education and advocacy with and on behalf of individuals and families who are homeless in Washington State. The WSCH is governed by representatives who are elected by county coalitions, such as the SKCCH, and are joined by service providers, governmental agencies, business leaders and individuals dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to shelter, a basic human need. |
