1. Fall 2011 Request for Proposals (RFP) for Operating Support, Rental Assistance, and Supportive Services (ORS)This funding opportunity is now closed.Approximately $14.2 million is available for operating support, rental assistance, and supportive services from King County Department of Community and Human Services, City of Seattle Office of Housing, United Way of King County, and Washington Families Fund through a coordinated funding round. Additionally, Seattle Housing Authority will make up to 70 Housing Choice Vouchers available to be paired with supportive services. All funds aim to link people who are experiencing homelessness to housing and needed services, and create a clear pathway out of homelessness. Applicant agencies may apply for funding for operating support, rental assistance, and supportive services to be linked to units of non-time limited housing for homeless individuals, families with children, and young adults 18 or older. Projects applying for any type of scattered site rental assistance should complete project budgets on the 2010 budget forms (see above). If you have already adjusted the 2011 forms to accommodate your rental assistance proposal, you may submit the budget as it is. Projects applying for services and/or operating (without scattered site rental assistance) should complete project budgets on the 2011 budget forms.

2. 2011 King County "Housing and Essential Needs" Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for (an) agency/ies to manage the homelessness prevention / housing retention program
King County is looking for (an) experienced agency(ies) interested in implementing the housing portion of the countywide Housing and Essential Needs program in King County.This funding opportunity is now closed.As part of the most recent legislative session, the Washington State Legislature ended the Disability Lifeline (DL) program. In its place, they enacted the Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) program. While not an entitlement, HEN is a program for those who have been eligible for DL-Unemployable (DL-U). The successful applicant will be managing a countywide homelessness prevention / housing retention program. Funding available through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process will pay for project staffing and administration of the housing component of HEN King County. NOTE: The "Essential Needs" portion of Housing and Essential Needs is not part of this RFQ. The approach to distribution of essential needs is being developed in a parallel and coordinated process. Coordinated Entry and Assessment - Request for QualificationsThis funding opportunity is now closed.King County, in collaboration with Building Changes, United Way of King County, and the Committee to End Homelessness, is seeking a lead agency to administer a countywide Coordinated Entry and Assessment (CEA) program for families with children who are experiencing or facing imminent risk of homelessness. Applying for funds to implement a Coordinated Entry and Assessment program for families experiencing or facing imminent risk of homelessness: Funding available through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process will pay for project staffing and administration of the CEA program for families. Approximately $700,000 in funding per year, for three years, is available for staffing and related costs to operate the countywide Coordinated Entry and Assessment program. In addition, up to $250,000 is available for one-time project start-up costs. SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE to the King County Department of Community and Human Services no later than noon on Monday, July 25, 2011 and will not be accepted after this deadline.
