Elements of Successful ProgramsDescribes factors that contribute to a program's success. It is used by provider agencies for program development and improvement. The Guidebook (720 kb pdf) describes characteristics of programs shown to reduce recidivism, delinquency, and/or violent behavior of youth who are involved in, or at imminent risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system. The accompanying Program Assessment Improvement Plan (300 kb pdf) helps agencies determine and document the elements of success, along with areas of strength and areas needing improvement.
