Plans and Reports

Available below are several plans and reports produced by Veterans and Community Services programs.

Status of Veterans and Veteran Services in King County Report

The Veterans and Human Services levies have resulted in an increased awareness of veteran lives and services in King County.  As part of supporting ongoing community education and planning, the DCHS Community Services Division – Performance Measurement and Evaluation Unit has created a comprehensive reference source on the status, needs and community services for King County Veterans.

This status report is intended to:

  • Provide current and updated data on demographics, income and health status and needs of King County veterans and their families (Section I).
  • Provide a summary overview of the status of King County funded veterans’ services, recent performance, and identify lessons learned and recommendations for future improvement (Section II & Attachment A).
  • Summarize larger system findings and recommendations for emerging service strategies and continued evaluation (Section III).

Here linked for public distribution is the Status of Veterans and Veterans Services in King County, published February 2013.

Elements of Successful Programs

Describes factors that contribute to a program's success. It is used by provider agencies for program development and improvement. The Guidebook (720 kb pdf) describes characteristics of programs shown to reduce recidivism, delinquency, and/or violent behavior of youth who are involved in, or at imminent risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system.  The accompanying Program Assessment Improvement Plan (300 kb pdf) helps agencies determine and document the elements of success, along with areas of strength and areas needing improvement.
