It was established in 1978. See: Women's Advisory Board Brochure (476 kb pdf) Meeting DetailsWomen's Advisory Board meetings are held the first Thursday of each month (except August) from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Meetings are held at the Chinook Building, 401 Fifth Avenue, Room 126 in Seattle. The public is welcome to attend. The December meeting is usually reserved as a Board retreat. The Women’s Program provides staff support to the WAB. How to ApplyWomen's Advisory Board is a nonpartisan advisory board, with members appointed by the King County Executive and the King County Council. Vacancies exist in districts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9. If you live in one of these districts and want to learn more about becoming a member of the Advisory Board, contact your Councilmember directly or contact Stephanie Moyes, King County Women’s Program staff liaison.
