Metro seeks public comment on proposal to change Route 903

New routing would serve Federal Way City Hall, Community Center and Celebration Park

King County Metro Transit is proposing to change Route 903 in Federal Way and wants to know what community members think of the proposal.

Metro is proposing to revise Route 903 so that it would travel on South 333rd Street, Park Road and 13th Place South between First Avenue South and South 324th Street. With this change, the route would provide direct service to the Federal Way City Hall, Community Center and Celebration Park.

The route would no longer operate along 11th Place South, South 320th Street, and First Avenue South between South 333rd and South 320th streets. Alternative service for some Route 903 riders on that segment would be available on existing bus routes on South 320th Street, or at new Route 903 stops on South 333rd Street.

Metro will hold an open house to provide more information and gather public opinion on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 5-7 p.m. in Federal Way City Hall, 33325 Eighth Ave. S.

Metro also has distributed brochures and post card questionnaires at community centers and onboard buses.

Information and an online questionnaire are available on Metro Online.
