The Adventures of Little Drip Educational Video
The Adventures of Little Drip is a 15 minute video featuring an animated character, a rain drop, named Little Drip. Little Drip has fallen of his water cycle and gets help from 8 year old Wyatt.
Wyatt joins Little Drip on an adventurous trip through the water cycle. Through the use of "magic water", Wyatt is shrunk to raindrop size and follows Little Drip through the ground to an aquifer. They are then sucked up a well, bounced onto the pavement, become vapor, and Wyatt returns "home" through his shower water!
With Little Drip's help, Wyatt learns how people have an impact on the quality and quantity of groundwater. Children learn:
- The basics of the hydrological cycle.
- Groundwater terms.
- How groundwater can be contaminated.
- What young people can do on a daily basis to conserve and protect our groundwater supply.
This video is a great resource for schools and children who obtain their drinking water from our groundwater supply. The video is available for purchase ($8.43 shipped, $5.44 if picked up) or may be borrowed with a deposit and shipping fee.
