Cedar River at River Mile 16.2 (Dorre Don neighborhood)
King County, Washington
A fallen tree is blocking the left-hand channel of the Cedar River at River Mile (RM) 16.2 in the vicinity of the Dorre Don neighborhood in Maple Valley. A mid-channel bar splits the river at this location and the right-hand channel remains clear for passing.
All boaters, floaters and swimmers should stay to the right of the mid-channel island through this area. With low flows, portage along the island may be possible and necessary.
The tree, which originally spanned the entire channel when it fell, was investigated by the King County Sheriff Marine/Dive/Rescue Unit in early June 2015.
