The video What is stormwater and why is it important? provides an overview of stormwater's affect on our environment. Most of the region’s water falls from the sky and eventually ends up in Puget Sound. But the route stormwater takes and the pollutants it comes into contact with along the way tells us a lot. It helps explain the whys of the health of our rivers, lakes and the Sound and the need to monitor and protect our natural resources.

This video is the first of the Stormwater Matters series of videos, which were produced to foster public understanding of stormwater, policies and plans to manage it, and ways we can all help: Video length 5 minutes, 24 seconds.
