Drop in Saturday Schedule for Tree Planting at King County Parks 1 Million Tree Effort
Events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. unless otherwise noted
Every fall, hundreds of volunteers join with King County Parks and plant trees to help increase our tree canopy throughout the county. These events are open to the public, and our 2017 weekend planting activities are already on the books – including many in our unincorporated areas.
Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. informal drop-in events are held for individuals, and groups to plant trees that the County provides with the guidance of our volunteer coordinators. We provide shovels, gloves and instruction, all you have to do is wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring raingear just in case. Closed-toed sturdy shoes are best.

Planting along the Green River East of Auburn. We will be planting in old pasture land to turn it back into a forest.
We recently acquired the Tokul Bypass site to help make a connection along the Preston–Snoqualmie Trail. We will be planting trees along the pond to start transitioning the site back to forest. This event is in partnership with Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust.
