This Class A noxious weed has a very limited distribution in Washington State; the only known site is in Pend Oreille County. This is one of several knapweed (Centaurea) species on our noxious weed list. The knapweeds are distinguished from each other by the bracts beneath the flower heads. The bracts of Vochin knapweed are long and slender with dark brown fringe tips.

Please notify us if you see Vochin knapweed growing in King County. Our program staff can provide the property owner or appropriate public agency with site-specific advice on how best to remove it. Also, because Vochin knapweed is not established in King County, we have an opportunity to stop it from spreading if we act quickly.
