What you’ll need

When you are registering, you will need:
  • Your ID
  • The date and place of your conviction
  • The offense for which you were convicted

Notifying Us of a Move

Once you have registered with us (or re-registered upon moving back into King County) you need to keep us informed if you move. You can notify us in person or in writing at the following address:

If you move outside of King County, please notify us in writing. You will also need to register in person at the sheriff's office in the county to which you move.



Note: All changes of address submitted by mail must by submitted by certified mail, return receipt requested.

Any questions regarding registration requirements, or relief from the requirement to register should be directed to the Registered Sex Offender Unit at 206-263-2120.

Please note: The Records Unit will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., on the 4th Wednesday of every month.

Registration takes approximately 30 minutes. At this time, you will be fingerprinted and photographed. Please note, wait times may vary depending on the volume of requests for Records Unit Services.
