The 31 year-old victim in a Shoreline beating case died at Harborview Medical Center overnight. Detectives expect the Prosecutor’s Office to upgrade the assault charge filed against the suspect to homicide.

Stephen Pollock, who detectives believe was responsible for the attack, turned himself in last Wednesday evening at the Regional Justice Center in Kent. A warrant for his arrest on a charge of Assault 1st Degree had been issued, and the bail was $1,000,000. He is 23 years old.

The attack left the Shoreline man with serious head injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 25th.

Pollock was a housemate of both the victim and a woman who witnessed the incident. She called 9-1-1.

The injured man was taking a nap on a basement couch when he was hit in the head with a table leg (similar to one that would be found on a dining room table).
