Sheriff's Office Looking for Robber as Well as Victim

Sheriff's Office Looking for Robber as Well as Victim

Sheriff detectives are looking for an armed robber who held up a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint, then dragged a female customer from the counter and out to the parking lot before releasing her.

The woman, technically and legally kidnapped, was released unharmed. Unfortunately, she kept going and Sheriff's detectives still need to talk with her.

The incident occurred about 2:25 AM on Wednesday, May 6th at the 7-Eleven located at 34051 Military Road South, unincorporated King County, east of Federal Way.

The robber held the clerk at gunpoint and forced her to empty two cash registers as the customer, standing at the counter, looked on. When the robber left he grabbed the customer around the neck in a choke hold, pistol in his other hand, and dragged her out of the business.

The woman was pulled 2/3 of the way across the parking lot before she was released. The suspect ran off and the woman did not come back into the store.

The man with the gun was described as Asian or Pacific Islander, about 5’6” tall and over 200 lbs. He was wearing a blue BB hat, black sunglasses, dark sweatshirt, dark pants, and black gloves. He was about 25 years old.

The kidnapped victim was also about 25 years old, perhaps 5’4” tall and 120 lbs.

If anyone recognizes either the suspect or the victim they are asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (206) 296-3311 (24 hours) or 9-1-1.
