July 4, 2009 Man Shot by Masked Intruders
A 47 year-old man was shot and seriously wounded last night (July 3rd) when two masked men stormed into to the house he shared with his parents.
The man was living with his parents ages 71 and 75 years old in the 4900 block of S. 284th Place, east of Federal Way in unincorporated King County.
The suspects came into the house through the front door, which was open due to the warm weather, just before 11:00 PM. They went to a back bedroom where the victim was, and he was shot shortly thereafter. The parents were not injured.
The two intruders were described as black males over 6’ tall and thin. Both were armed with handguns. The motive remains unclear.
The victim was taken to Harborview Hospital for treatment, where he remains today.
Detectives do not believe this was a random incident.
