Help of the Public Needed to Find Hit & Run Vehicle

The help of the public is needed to find a vehicle involved in a Hit & Run where a 17 year-old boy was struck and injured.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in the 4300 block of South 178th, SeaTac, about 5:00 PM.

The 17 year-old victim was just getting out of his father’s car at their residence when a dark green Dodge Durango came south on 178th. The car was speeding and the driver started to lose control. The vehicle struck the victim, throwing him backwards onto the ground.

The Durango stopped momentarily, but fled shortly thereafter. No one was able to get the license place.

The victim suffered serious injuries, including broken bones. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center. At last report he was in stable condition.

Ø The driver of the fleeing vehicle was a Hispanic male in his 30’s, about 5’ 6” to 5’ 7” tall and medium build. He had a shaved head.

There was a white female in the passenger seat of the Durango with “blond hair”.

If anyone recognizes the suspect vehicle or has information about this accident they are asked to call the King County Sheriff's Office at (206) 296-3311 (24 hours), or 9-1-1.
