Sheriff, Judges, Prosecutor to Host Town Meeting

"Public Safey in Peril"

The King County Sheriff, Prosecutor, and Presiding Judges of Superior and District Courts will hold a town meeting on Monday, October 20^th.

The public is invited to hear Prosecutor Dan Satterberg, Sheriff Sue Rahr, Judge Bruce Hilyer, and Judge Barbara Linde discuss impacts of the 2009 King County budget cuts and what the effect will be on criminal justice.

“These cuts threaten the quality of justice in King County and put the public at risk,” said Sheriff Sue Rahr. “We want to make sure the public has an opportunity to be heard,” she added.

Monday’s meeting in Shoreline is the first in a series of four town hall meetings in neighborhoods around King County. Subsequent meetings will be held in Skyway (October 22^nd), White Center (October 29^th) and Seattle (November 3^rd).
