Nov. 26, 2008 Man Arrested for RapeAdditional Victims Possilble
A 29 year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon (November 25th) for a rape that occurred last week in the City of SeaTac. He was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Rape, Robbery & Kidnapping.
The incident occurred on Saturday, November 22nd about 11:30 PM. The suspect allegedly offered a ride to a 19 year-old girl in Seattle. Rather than taking her home, he drove her to SeaTac, despite her protestations. After stopping in an isolated parking lot, he threatened the woman with a knife and raped her in the back seat of his car.
The woman got out of the vehicle on a ruse and then fought with the man. He pushed her to the ground and punched her several times in the face as she screamed for help. She was able to escape but was totally naked. She flagged down a passerby and SeaTac Police were called.
The man also took the victim’s cell phone by force, hence the robbery arrest.
Sheriff detectives were investigating a rape case from October 27th that occurred under similar circumstances. In that case the victim got the license number of the suspect’s car. Detectives tracked the vehicle to a house in the 12600 block of Occidental Ave South. The November victim picked out the owner of the car in a photo line-up. Detectives impounded the car and arrested the driver yesterday.
The October incident is still under investigation.
