Missing Persons

Missing person cases are uniquely complicated. First, detectives must determine if a person is missing against their will. Another complication is that there is frequently a lack of evidence that points to a specific suspect. The Major Crimes Unit analyzes all missing persons and runaway reports. If the reviewer suspects foul play, the case is immediately assigned to a Major Crimes detective.

Cases are sorted by decade (on the tabs to the left).

Based on factors determined during these investigations, we suspect that foul play may be involved in their disappearances. If you have information on these or any other missing person cases that the Sheriff's Office is investigating, please contact our Major Crimes Unit at (206) 296-7530. You may also email us at MCUTips.KCSO@kingcounty.gov.

We are making updates to this site as time allows, this does not reflect our full library of cold cases. Please check back to review additional cases.
