Deputy Dave Jeffries I worked as a secondary manager in a grocery store as well as a supervisor for two import store chains before finding my calling in the King County Sheriff’s Office 17 years ago.
Right now, I’m assigned to both the bomb and DUI squads. At night, I patrol the county for drunk drivers and assist patrol. I assist in training patrol deputies with all aspects of DUI enforcement and also bomb awareness.
I also train twice a month with the bomb squad. The King County Bomb squad helps to ensure the safety of all visiting dignitaries, and works with the secret service whenever members under their protection visit.
I’ve also been a proud member of the honor guard for 15 years. This unit is present at many ceremonies, from funerals to parades. I’ve played trumpet since high school, and now use that skill when playing taps for the honor guard.
