Foster A Pet

Be a Hero, Foster a Pet!

One of the best ways to volunteer for Regional Animal Services of King County is by fostering a pet in your home. Foster families provide much-needed care and one-on-one attention for animals that are too young to be adopted yet, or need to recover from surgery or illness before being adopted. Click here to learn more about fostering.

License Your Pet

Protect your pet with a license

Licensed pets are returned home faster if they get lost. Your license fee goes toward sheltering homeless animals as they wait for their forever home, helping us rescue pets from neglect, and investigating animal cruelty cases. You can purchase a license online, or get a tag or mailer at more than 300 locations in King County.
