Preparedness for residents and businesses

Preparedness is the foundation of emergency management here in King County. Preparedness includes both "personal preparedness" - being prepared at home, in your car, or at your children's school - as well as "business preparedness" - being prepared at your place of employment, no matter if you are self-employed, work at a small office, or a large corporation.

If each of us take simple steps to prepare before the next emergency at home or at our place of business, it means we will all fair much better when the next disaster hits. Whether you haven't yet started to prepare, or simply need additional information for being better prepared, take steps today for knowing what to do to
make it through a short-lived emergency or major catastrophe.

Get started today, our next emergency or disaster could happen tomorrow. Are you ready?
