Emergency Management Advisory Committee (EMAC)

The Emergency Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) advises, assists, reviews, and comments on emergency management and homeland security issues, regional planning, and policies. They measure and prioritize core capabilities, and recommend homeland security allocations and work products to sustain and enhance preparedness and operational levels. Homeland Security is a coordinated effort that requires representation from many disciplines to ensure the protection and security of people and infrastructure (buildings and systems). Members represent cities, fire service, law enforcement, hospitals, the Port of Seattle, government, special purpose districts, tribes, utilities, non-profit agencies, and the private sector.
