Crowds flock to rescue 100s of animals: Animals still available

One hour into the second annual King County super pet adopt-a-thon and dozens of families are finding lovable companions in Kent.

In the region’s largest animal adoption event, hundreds of dogs, cats, reptiles, and other small animals of many ages, sizes and breeds are ready to head home with a new family of their very own.

The Super Pet Adopt-a-thon will run until 4 p.m. today at the King County Kent Animal Shelter, 21615- 64th Ave. S, Kent.

Seventeen animal shelters and rescue groups from across the state have adoptable pets available. Dog trainers, animal behavior experts, groomers, retailers and other animal related organizations are also on site.

If you are longing for the companionship of a pet, you will be able to choose the pick of a gigantic litter June 30 at the region’s 2nd Annual Super Pet Adopt-a-thon, hosted by King County. This particular litter is made up of hundreds of dogs, cats, reptiles, and other small animals of all ages, sizes and breeds – all ready to head home with a new family of their very own.
