Help keep King County animals safe!

 Interested in the welfare and safety of animals? King County is looking for citizens to serve on its Animal Control Citizen's Advisory Committee. The Committee has the important work of providing King County with information and advice about all aspects of animal control and animal welfare.

Interested in the welfare and safety of animals? King County is looking for citizens to serve on its Animal Care and Control Citizen's Advisory Committee. The Committee has the important work of providing King County with information and advice about all aspects of Animal Care and Control and animal welfare.

To be eligible for the committee, you must live in King County. There are open positions for three citizens who live in unincorporated King County, and two representatives from animal-related non-profit or professional organizations. Both pet owners and non-pet owners are encouraged to apply.

There are eleven committee members, including additional representatives from the Humane Society for Seattle/King County, PAWS, and the Seattle-King County Veterinary Medical Association.

Applications will be subject to review by the King County Executive, who will make recommendations on membership to the King County Council. The County Council will make the final confirmations. Committee members serve for three years and can be re-appointed to a second term. The Committee will meet monthly.
