Dec. 6, 2008 Kids n' Kritters Pet Walk, downtown Kent King County will be participating in the Kids n' Kritters Pet Walk through downtown Kent on Saturday, December 6 at 2 p.m. Dogs seeking new homes will be walked in the event by KCACC volunteers.
"Our holiday community outreach events are intended to show how wonderful these animals are and help the public understand that bringing a pet into one's life can make a big difference for everyone involved. Our dream is to have all homeless pets - in all the local animal shelters and rescue organizations - to have a home and a family for the holidays," says Wendy Keller, Acting Manager of King County Animal Care and Control.
At the adoption events, the public can also drop off donations for pets at the shelter, such as towels, dog toys, cat toys, and kitten formula. The complete shelter holiday wish list is available on our Web site.
Anyone with a pet can participate in the one-mile Kids n' Kritters walk.
Register by bringing one large, clean bath towel or blanket to McMonigle Veterinary Clinic at 1014 Central Ave N. Meet up with fellow walkers at the Morford Family Carousel at Town Square Plaza at 2 p.m. More information is available via the links on the right-hand side of this page. |
