Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out at the Concerts at Marymoor this past summer - with your help, we again kept more than half of the waste generated at the shows out of the landfill!
In an effort to reduce the impact of large events in the park, Marymoor Park recycles and composts biodegradable cups, plates and food scraps at the summer concert series. Volunteers, who get in free to the shows at which they work, help to teach concert-goers about recycling and composting and to keep the venue free of litter.
HOW IT WORKS As a Marymoor Concert Recycling Crew volunteer, we ask that you:
Commit to volunteering a minimum of three concerts
are 18 years of age or older
On-site training provided. Shifts vary depending upon show time. Service learning credit is available.
Grab your friends or co-workers, volunteer as a group, and enjoy a fine summer show in the park...for free! Contact the Volunteer Manager for more information.
