The Adopt-a-Park or Trail program is a great way for individuals, groups, or businesses to contribute to their local community. By participating in this program, you help increase public awareness of the importance of protecting our green spaces and natural heritage, generate pride in our park system, and demonstrate commitment to your community.
How it Works The Adopt-a-Park or Trail program requires a minimum commitment of three to four volunteer work party events per year, to be agreed upon between the Adoptee group and the Volunteer Manager.
Some examples of Adopt-a-Park or Trail activities include:
brush clean-up
litter pick-up
tree planting
flower-bed weeding and/or planting
invasive weed removal
trail maintenance
monitoring restoration efforts
and many other projects
