The King County Regional Trail System is one of the nation's most extensive multi-use off-road systems with over 175 miles of trails for bicycling, hiking, walking, and horseback riding. The RTS spans an area from Bothell to Auburn and Seattle to the Cascades. The system provides extensive opportunities for recreation and non-motorized mobility and commuting throughout King County. And the RTS continues to grow! King County is actively planning and developing a planned network of regional trails totaling more than 300 miles in length. If you are looking for alternative ways to get around our region, enjoy nature, and live a healthier lifestyle, check out King County's regional trails!
Summer’s almost here, and it’s a great time to get out on the regional trails. There are 300 miles of parkways in King County for recreation and commuting to work or school. Share the trails, it’s your responsibility. We’ll build ‘em, but you’ve got to share ‘em! Bicyclists, please watch for others, obey the 15 mph speed limit, and use your bell. Walkers and others, please remember that you share the trail with cyclists who can’t always stop when folks step into their path. Please keep right and stay alert.
