Remond Town Center We've teamed up several times with Redmond Town Center, which is located just across the highway from Marymoor Park. In addition to jointly promoting special events at Marymoor, such as Cirque du Soleil and the movies@marymoor outdoor cinema series, Redmond Town Center also provided support for Marymoor Park map. McCallum Print Group & Mailhanders King County Parks worked with McCallum to print the new Marymoor Park map. Thanks to their in-kind donation, we were able to print the map on FSC-certified, post-consumer waste recycled content paper which was printed with soy-based inks at McCallum's 50% wind-powered plant in Ballard.
Through our Partnerships for Parks initiative, we establish corporate partnerships that increase recreational opportunities for King County residents and generate new revenue to support the operations and maintenance of our 25,000-acre system. We strive to ensure that corporate partnerships reflect the aesthetic and values of King County Parks in supporting vibrant communities and healthy lifestyles. We pursue mutually beneficial agreements with our partners, such as: concessions, naming rights, event sponsorships, gifts and grants, marketing and advertising, utilities and lease agreements, and public/private real estate development, among many other projects. These partnerships provide critical financial support for our parks! In 2007, King County voters approved a six-year levy, which funds about 50% of the costs associated with operating and maintaining our parks and trails. The value of initiatives such as Partnership for Parks helps leverage King County taxpayers’ investment by generating additional revenue and creating efficiencies that keep our parks open and safe for all to enjoy.
