Register early and be ready for the challenge to start on January 21, 2013!
A healthier you, is a happier you and getting healthy is even more fun when it takes you outside! Resolve now to get moving for your health and discover new activities by taking part in the 2013 King County Parks Fitness Challenge powered by Group Health! This challenge is fun, family friendly and most activities are free. With 30 possible Parks Fitness Challenge activities to choose from, you're sure to find a variety of activities that will motivate you to get out and get healthy.
For King County employees:
If you are a King County employee, spouse or partner using the Parks Fitness Challenge as your Healthy Incentives, Individual Action Plan start here.
For everyone else, please follow these three easy steps:
1. REGISTER Go to the Group Health Fitness Network website and register. All participants must have a mobile phone number and an email address that is unique to you. You cannot have the same mobile phone number and email address as any other participant in the Parks Fitness Challenge. If you are unable to register on-line, contact us at fitnesschallenge@kingcounty.gov and we will help you get started.
3. RECORD YOUR ACTIVITIES
When you complete your activity, look for the King County Parks Fitness Challenge end point sign and code word. From your mobile phone, text1 ‘PARKS’ to 206-452-7998 and you will be prompted to enter the code word. Plus, you'll be entered to win weekly prize drawings! If you do not have a mobile phone contact us at fitnesschallenge@kingcounty.gov for instructions on how to participate.
