WHITE CENTER HEIGHTS PARK

Thanks to a generous donation by the Starbucks Coffee Company, White Center Heights Park received an ‘ultimate park makeover’ in 2007. With the help of 1,500 volunteers, this park is now home to a grass berm amphitheater, community garden, walking trail, pea patch, barbeque pit, and picnic shelter and tables. This urban park is surrounded by enhanced Class II wetlands.

In June 2009, King County Parks, with the help of the White Center Community Development Association and Cascade Land Conservancy, started construction on a bridge across White Center Heights Pond to provide ADA access and connect the two portions of the park.
A significant portion of the funding for this bridge was made available by the Washington State Community Trade and Economic Development Grant Program.
