Dasani Community Blue Bikes FAQs
What is the Community “Blue Bikes” Program? A first for the Puget Sound region, King County’s Marymoor Park offers Trek Classic Cruisers, which anyone over the age of 18 may check out at no cost. This program was made possible through a partnership with Dasani Corporation, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, Redmond Cycle, and Trek Bicycles as a means of promoting, protecting, and expanding our region’s trails system and access to cycling.

Where are the bikes and bike lockers located? The bikes are stored in lockers, which are located near the velodrome.

How do I access the Community Blue Bikes? A swipe card will give you access to a bike locker and the bike inside. To obtain your swipe card, download and sign the registration form {link to pdf} and take it to the Marymoor Park Office, which is open from Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. You must be 18 years or older and provide proof of identity. Cycling helmets are required and must be provided by the rider.

Where can I go for a ride? The Sammamish River Trail eventually meets the Burke-Gilman Trail  and is a wonderful route to explore. The 27-mile-long trail, which begins at Marymoor Park, is paved and mostly level and provides easy access to many area sights and amenities.

When may I ride the Community Blue Bikes? The Community Blue Bikes can be accessed daily, year-round, during daylight hours. The bicycles must be returned to Marymoor Park the same day. The bicycles are not equipped with lights, so they need to be returned 30 minutes before dusk. Please return the bicycle to the original locker from which you removed it.

Following these simple rules will ensure maximum availability of the Community Blue Bikes for other users. Thank you for your cooperation!

“I drive through Marymoor often and pay my dollar as I drive through on my way out. There is always an old man working in the little booth, I'm not sure what his name is... but sometimes I find myself just wanting to drive through the park just to pay a dollar so I can see him smile. He is honestly the most happy and wonderfully pleasant person to see at the end of my tiring day, and I just wanted to let you know he is a wonderful employee and I give him and you my thanks!”
