Notice of Potential Boating Hazard
Green River

According to reports, boaters are having difficulty avoiding this new logjam, which is currently being investigated by the King County Sheriff's Office. Until such time that conditions change, boaters are cautioned against traveling the river downstream from Metzler Park which is located 1.7 miles downstream of Whitney Bridge. Boaters are also advised that there is no developed boat ramp at Metzler Park, and any boats taken out there will need to be carried approximately 3/10 of a mile from the river to the parking lot. Additionally, use of this undeveloped takeout involves fording a 2-3 foot deep side channel.
