Permitting Department Upgrades to Accela Citizen Access  (Permit Portal) for User-Friendly Online Permitting

ACA portal (external link)

Important Change: ACA users are no longer required to log into a user account to request an inspection.  Users can request an inspection directly from a permit record without logging in to the system.  ACA users that have accounts and linked permits can still request inspections in that manner.

The new permitting website allows anyone to:

  • Search easily and powerfully port data from searches
  • View the workflow with comments in context
  • View past inspections
  •  View related records
  • Submit a code enforcement complaint
Users who register for an account will be able to:
  • Create customizable tracking lists of permits
  • Schedule inspections
  • Download documents attached to a permit
  • View fees
  • View valuations
  • View permit contacts
We are also working on these upcoming features:
  • Apply for permits online
  • Pay fees online
  • Visual mapping tools
