King County's Real Estate Services' Permit and Franchise Unit manages the granting of permission to use county property. The most common requests involve planned construction or events, such as community meetings, major public events and construction under, on or over county property.
The Permit and Franchise Unit develops the appropriate agreements and permits through a fairly simple review process that includes checking for conflicts with county facilities and operations. Once reviewed, most permits are issued with minor conditions.
