Consultants

King County utilizes consultants for Architectural and Engineering (A&E), Professional, and Technical services.

Requests for Proposals (RFP's) or Requests for Qualifications (RFQ's) are advertised in local papers and posted on this Web Site. Occasionally they are combined into a single RFP/Q. To view latest advertisements, access Solicitations and search "Open" solicitations for "A&E and Prof. Services". To determine the status of RFP's & RFQ's after the due date, whether solicitations have been closed, cancelled or awarded; access Solicitations and search "All" solicitations for "A&E and Prof. Services".

Each Terms and Conditions document represents the contract boilerplate that will be used for the indicated contract type in design ("E") and professional service ("P") contracts without alteration except for the County's selection of appropriate alternate language. These Terms and Conditions will not be used for technical/non-professional services ("T") contracts.

The County will develop Terms and Conditions for other federally funded contracts when needed.

Contract duration varies from a few weeks to several years. Many contracts are for complete design services on a single project. Others may be for environmental reviews, traffic analysis, mediators or a wide range of professional services. Some smaller Architectural and Engineering contracts (under $150K) are solicited from Consultants on our Architectural and Engineering Roster. Go to Consultants > A&E Roster for more information.

Please review the various menu items on this site for additional information.
