About I-NetI-Net is a state-of-the-art fiber optic network service provided by King County for public facilities in King County. I-Net was made possible by King County through creation of the County’s cable TV franchise agreement with Comcast (previously, TCI and Viacom cable companies). I-Net is regional 2, 000 mile fiber optic network, connecting more than 300 public, education, and government organizations to a stable, reliable and affordable regional communications network for Voice, Data and Video services. The I-Net is not just a method of sharing data but, also a method to share information and ideas between schools, cities, counties, state of Washington, fire stations, police departments, hospitals, non-profit & research institutions, libraries, and the public across a private fiber network.
