KCIT Services

KCIT has transitioned to a consolidated IT approach by moving resources and IT services for the County into one department to improve accountability, reduce costs, increase services to taxpayers, and more closely align IT with the business needs of King County.

The growing portfolio of technology services is the result of an evolving strategy designed by KCIT to align technology with the county's goals as identified in the King County Strategic Plan 2010-2014. We are working in cooperation with county business partners, to keep King County in the forefront by utilizing IT tools to better serve our business customers and the citizens of our County.

KCIT exists to support the business objectives of King County in an efficient, professional, and responsive manner. Our success is predicated upon our ability to enhance our customer’s success through our services. As a strategic partner, KCIT is helping meet these challenges by providing significantly improved service delivery and supporting infrastructure, at a better cost, and with reduced risks.

KCIT services include:

KCIT is committed to supporting the business objectives of our business customers and the citizens of King County through alignment of technology with the county’s goals as identified in the King County Strategic Plan 2010-2014. The objective is to promote the accountability, transparency and quality of services that KCIT offers. This 2013 Service Catalog clearly describes each end-user service KCIT offers with included service components, target service levels, performance measures for each service, and how the offered service aligns with King County Strategic Plan. There is a number of back-end services necessary for delivery of end-user services. They are included in the catalog for informational, transparency and accountability purposes.
