*Since this site is staffed by one person only, we are required by federal law to close for these periods. To preserve the full break allowance, staff may stop service intakes up to 15 minutes prior to breaks. Passport applications will not be accepted for those arriving after 6:45 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.
All Community Service Centers are closed on King County holidays. Check the holiday closures schedule for details. The Black River CSC is co-located with King County Elections. To accommodate elections activities, the center will close at 4:30 p.m. on the following dates:

Driving DirectionsFrom I-5 - Northbound or southbound I-5, take the I-405 North exit.
- Drive northbound on I-405 approximately one-half mile.
- Take Exit 1, West Valley Highway Exit (SR 181)
- At stop light, turn left onto Interurban Ave S. (SR 181)
- Drive north under freeway and immediately turn right onto SW Grady Way
- Drive to the second stoplight at Powell Avenue SW and turn right into the King County Elections parking lot.
- Enter the main building entrance and proceed directly ahead to the customer service area. The Black River CSC is at the left side of the customer service counter.
From I-405 - Southbound I-405, take Exit 1, West Valley Highway exit (SR 181).
- At stoplight, turn right onto Interurban Ave S. and merge immediately into left turn lane. Do NOT drive under the freeway.
- Turn left at stoplight onto SW Grady Way.
- Drive just under one mile to stoplight at Powell Avenue SW and turn right into the King County Elections parking lot.
- Enter the main building entrance and proceed directly ahead to the customer service area. The Black River CSC is at the left side of the customer service counter.
