Washington State Auditor's Office Performance Audits of King County

Under Initiative 900, Washington State Auditor's Office (SAO) is mandated to conduct performance audits of state and local governments. The initiative requires local government legislative bodies to hold public hearings and confirm implementation of the SAO’s performance audit recommendations. In conjunction with the Washington State Local Government Auditors Association and the County Council, the King County Auditor’s Office will promote communication and collaboration in fulfilling local government’s expectations. King County Executive, Ron Sims, and County Council Chair, Larry Gossett, designated the King County Auditor and the Executive Internal Auditor as liaisons for SAO's performance audits in King County.
